The Black Stars of Ghana cruised to a convincing 3-1 win over Liberia in an international friendly match today, Tuesday, September 12.
The international friendly is part of efforts by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to give head coach Chris Hughton the chance to build a strong side for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
In a game played at the Accra Sports Stadium, Ghana enjoyed the better share of possession and scored three goals in the second half after a goalless first half.
Attacking sensation Ernest Nuamah opened the scoring for the Black Stars in the 51st minute after he was assisted by defender Nicholas Opoku.
Seven minutes later, the Olympic Lyon forward turned the provider as he assisted Mohammed Kudus to score Ghana’s second goal of the evening.
Later in the game, substitute Jordan Ayew equalised from close range to increase the lead for Ghana to 3.
