Ghana Trade Fair Company has set out to promote made-in-Ghana products and services through fairs and exhibitions both at home and abroad, as the CEO launches the maiden edition of the Made in Ghana fair on the occasion of Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day on 21st September, 2023.

According to the Chief Executive Officer, “Now we know that His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has made it almost his singular focus to industrialise Ghana with the introduction of One-District- One-Factory initiative to transform Ghana from a raw material to a value-added economy and today Ghana is actually a manufacturing country.”

Dr. Agnes Adu submitted that Dr. Agnes Adu Ghana is producing anything, from agro products to automobiles, through this fantastic initiative called ‘One District, One Factory’ introduced by this government and the Ghana Trade Fair Company, “we are here to support exactly that. We are the vehicle through which the government promotes what we produce here in the country.”

He noted that supporting and promoting quality products and services made in Ghana will help increase the country’s export capacities as well as help the consumers: “what we are producing here in the country and therefore we will reduce our dependency on what imports into the country, and those two things alone can help support our own local economy and help us grow, so our mandate as the Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited is to promote trade”,

She also touched on the role the company plays in showcasing “trade facilitation and trade promotion in order to support the government’s agenda to industrialize.

“So this year we found it befitting that on the day set aside to celebrate our beloved first president on his birthday, we found befitting to collaborate with the Ministry of Tourism, the Ghana Tourism Authority, the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park to bring that main focus of industrialization by supporting local producers to bring this fair on to this beautiful ground as we celebrate Dr Kwame Nkrumah’s birthday.”
