The Ghana Grid Company, GRIDCO, operator of the National Interconnected Transmission System, has announced that due to limited gas supply to Tema, there will be a supply gap of 550 megawatts at peak time.
A statement issued by the Corporate Communications Section of the company noted that the shortfalls in supply will affect power supply to consumers in some parts of the country.
It regrets any inconveniences caused.
Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have taken to social media to confirm that their lights have been put off.
They are appealing to GRIDCO to urgently work on the gaps in order for them to enjoy uninterrupted power.
