The Germany Chapter Women’s Wing of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has donated items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to the Biakoye Constituency branch in the Oti region.
The 2024 NDC Parliamentary Candidate, Madam Jean Marie Formadi, and the Constituency Vice Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Ackumey received the items on behalf of the constituency.
The items which was presented by the leader of the delegation, Madam Ljudmilla Afi Tuglo, and Madam Gifty Ahovi, the treasurer on behalf of the Chapter Women’s Organizer Mrs. Grace Novisi Torks include 15 packs of Mineral water, 1,320 pieces of sanitary pads and cash amount of GHc2,000.
Speaking in an interview, Madam Ljudmilla Afi Tuglo said the items were the chapter’s ‘widow’s mite’ to the party and its 2024 NDC Parliamentary Candidate, to address the sanitary needs of some vulnerable women and girls in the constituency.
“Let me use this opportunity to appeal to other chapters and well-mining individuals to donate their ‘widow’s mite’ to help build the NDC” Madam Afi Tuglo said.
In attendance to witness the donation were the Oti Regional Women’s Organizer, Madam Paulina Magyam, and her two deputies, Madam Sulemana Sahatu and Madam Mary Dunyame, and some Women Organizers and Deputies from sister Constituencies.
