As part of efforts to build the capacity of Magistrates and Judges on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Children, a training session has been organised to sensitize them on the written laws on Juveniles and children.
The training session which brought together Magistrates and Judges from across the country is part of the Chief Justice’s policy to enhance the judicial system.
The Director, Judicial Training Institute and a Court of Appeals Judge, Justice Dennis Adjei said juvenile cases are delicate and as such should be handled with utmost care.
The programme which was organised by Legal Resources Centre, LRC, an NGO which is into human rights issues and helps the vulnerable in society who cannot afford the services of lawyers.
