Brazilian all time top scorer Neymar might be out from action for 10 months

Neymar under went surgery in Brazil yesterday, November 2, 2023 after tearing a ligament and meniscus in his left knee during a match with Brazil last month. 

The Brazilian all time top scorer might be out from action for 10 months. Neymar who has been hit by injuries in recent seasons needs to take a critical look at what’s going wrong in his game and training.

The operation took place at Mater Dei hospital in the southeastern city of Belo Horizonte with national team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar.

Neymar recently signed for Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal from Paris Saint-Germain in August in order to re clinch his form he had both in his time at Barcelona and his early days at Paris Saint Germain.

Neymar is expected to be sidelined for several months, including for Brazil’s upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers this month against Argentina.
