Ghana’s Aviation industry is said to be experiencing an increase in air travel traffic and expects an increase in the coming days as compared to last year, as 2023 draws to a close.
According to the Managing Editor of Aviation Ghana, Dominick Andoh, the sector recorded more than 1.9 million flights last year.
This he attributed to issues concerning the relief from the post Covid-19 travel ban lift and economic travelling packages offered by travel and tour agencies in collaboration with various airlines aside the regular seasonal trooping by travellers for the Christmas festivity.
Speaking to GBC Business News, Mr. Andoh expressed excitement that Ghana’s economy will benefit from this development.
Mr. Andoh commended the Ministry of Tourism for its tremendous work in the promotion and organization of interesting programs attracting tourists around the globe to patronize Ghana.
Mr. Andoh called on Ghanaians to join hands with tourist agencies to market the country’s tourist sites as well as its rich natural resources to the foreigners to rake in Foreign Direct Investments.
