AFCON 2023: Ghanaian referee Daniel Nii Laryea to officiate Mali vrs Tunisia game

Ghanaian referee Daniel Nii Laryea will take charge of the game between Mali and Tunisia at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo on Saturday, January 20, 2024, as group E looks to take shape in the second round of games of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Daniel Nii Laryea made the list as the only Ghanaian referee represented in this year’s AFCON tournament. His experience speaks volumes, as he has made numerous appearances at CAF’s club competitions.

His performances as a Ghanaian referee officiating on a bigger stage in Africa are something one cannot overlook, as this gives a highlight to how officiating in Ghana is gradually improving for the better.

Referee Daniel Nii Laryea has already fulfilled the role of fourth in some matches, which include Burkina Faso, Senegal, Cape Verde, and Equatorial Guinea in the AFCON 2023.

The game between Mail and Tunisia will kick off on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 8 p.m.
