Former Minister of Youth and Sports and MP for Odododiodio, Nii Lante Vanderpuye, says there is the need for the reconstruction of the whole structure of Ghana’s football in order to generate a new crop of talents to secure Ghana’s success in tournaments.
He said Coaches appointed to handle the senior national team, Black Stars are not allowed to invite their own players which needs to be stopped.
He emphasized that football in Ghana cannot be said to be good if the economy is not good.
Mr. Vanderpuye said this on GBC’s News and Current Affairs Programme, FOCUS, which discussed the ongoing 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.
He said ”individual interest is killing the management of the Black Stars”.
