Residents of Jema and Ampoma in the Kintampo South Constituency extend their gratitude to the former First Lady, Lordina Mahama, for helping to address their water supply problem.
The people of Jema and Ampoma say they can now enjoy access to regular and clean water supply once again.
For nearly six months, the communities had been grappling with a disrupted water supply stemming from a malfunctioning pump at the local water system plant.
During a courtesy visit to Nana Amponsah Gyan II and Nana Adubofour, Krontihene of Ampoma, Mrs. Mahama announced her initiative to replace the malfunctioning pump with a new one secured at a total cost of 45,000 Ghana Cedis.
This benevolent intervention not only resolved the water supply challenge in Jema but also benefited neighbouring Communities such as Jema Nkwanta, Ampoma, and Jema Senior High School.
The Water System, constructed in 2013 with funding from the French Development Agency, was part of a peri-urban and small-town water supply and sanitation project in the Brong Ahafo Region.
The people were grateful for the benevolent gesture by Mrs. Lordina Mahama.
