Following the announcement of players called up for the clash between the Black Queens of Ghana and Copper Queens of Zambia, Coach Nora Hauptle’s ladies have begun reporting to camp to commence training.
The clash against the Cooper Queens will be the first test of the Queens after qualifying for the next African Women’s Cup of Nations last year. With 10 wins out of 11 games, the Black Queens are tipped to excel above their South African regionalized counterparts.
The likes of Evelyn Badu, Doris Boaduwaa and Jennifer Cudjoe are among players who are reported to have touched down at the camp of the Queens ahead of their first official training.
Former Arsenal women’s Midfielder who currently plays for Charlton Athletic in the United Kingdom, Freda Ayisi who has been handed her first national team call up is expected to join her teammates in the course of the week after her team’s game against Reading Women was called off.
