The game between the Black Queens and the Copper Queens of Zambia on Friday, February 23, 2024, holds a high chance of being boycotted due to outstanding bonuses they are yet to receive from their Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifier games.

The team is also yet to be rewarded for their victory against Benin in their previous 2024 Olympic Qualifiers match. This issue has raised more concerns in the camp of the Queens as they call on the Sports Ministry to pay their bonuses as soon as possible.

The Sports Ministry owes every player an amount of $7,500 from six competitive matches played, making matters unstable for the team heading into their crucial encounter with Zambia on Friday, February 23, 2024.

This matter has raised concerns about the Black Queens considering boycotting their game on Friday if nothing is done about their bonuses. The Queens have been outstanding in all their matches played under coach Nora Hauptle, having lost only one game in their last 11 matches.
