‘Opening ceremony of 2023 African Games will be free for media houses’

The executives of the 13th African Games held a media seminar on Thursday, February 22, 2024, to engage the media on their journey into the big showpiece in Accra. 

The seminar, which outlined the media’s operations, international game coverage, and more, gave the media a glimpse of what will be required of them. All the necessary details and rules concerning the games were discussed for a better African game and the best in history.

Head of broadcast for the 13th African Games, George Lomotey, disclosed during the meeting with the media that the opening ceremony will be available to all media houses.

“The opening ceremony of the 13th African Games will be free and available to all media houses in Ghana,” said George Lomotey.

With over 5,000 athletes and game officials attending this big event, the media will be tasked with giving their very best by providing timely and accurate coverage of the games. The media, being a key element in projecting the games, will be looked at critically.

GTV Sports Plus will headline the coverage of the 13th African Games as the official broadcaster of the big showpiece. Ghana’s leading sports channel, GTV Sports Plus, will provide key coverage of all the games.
