Dreams FC, on Sunday, February 25, 2024, defeated Club Africain by 1-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in their charge to grab a qualification ticket to the knockout stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The ‘Still Believe’ Boys win against their Tunisian opponents puts them at the top of their group heading into the final group games of the tournament.

Dreams FC, making their first ever appearance in the tournament, has shown big signs of making history in the tournament.

The early minutes of the game were closely marked, with both teams not ready to breakdown or slip. As the match progressed, chances fell to both sides, but neither team had the capability to capitalise on their opportunities.

The second half brought some determination on the side of the Ghanaian FA champions, who found the back of the net in the 50th minute with a goal from Godfred Atuahene, capitalising on a superb pass from Abdul Aziz Issah.

After going down in the 50th minute, Club Africain pushed harder to cancel out the lead of the Ghanaian side, but their efforts weren’t enough as Dreams FC held on to a vital victory to boost their qualification chances moving forward.

The big win against Club Africain sees “The Still Believe Boys” sit comfortably on top of Group C with 12 points, closely followed by Club Africain and Rivers United with nine points each. The lead at the top can only be permanent if Dreams FC draws against Rivers United in their last game.
