Ledzokuku Member of Parliament (MP) in the Greater Accra Region, Ben Ayiku has presented medical equipment worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to the Teshie Community Clinic as part of his ongoing programme to bring quality healthcare to the doorstep of his people.
The equipment includes, Haematology Analyzer, delivery bed, multipurpose Photocopier, Television Set and others.
Before this donation, the MP had renovated the Clinic and replaced all malfunctioning equipment, tools and materials but significantly, he cut sod for the construction of the new Teshie Polyclinic which is under construction just behind the existing Clinic.
At the short ceremony at the Clinic, the MP was full of praise for raising the necessary funds to fulfil the promises he made in response to the request.
According to him, he promised to tackle health issues with all seriousness. “I’m just doing so as your servant in Parliament and together, we shall build better community for ourselves and our children” he said.
He said, “I’m delighted to share with you all that we have embarked on a project to renovate the Teshie Community Clinic and provide much-needed support in the form of a delivery bed, lab equipment, and a photocopier machine”.
He noted that, these resources will not only enhance the quality of care provided at the clinic but also improve efficiency and effectiveness in delivering healthcare services to this community.
“I firmly believe in the importance of accessible and quality healthcare for all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances.
By investing in our healthcare infrastructure, we are investing in the health and well-being of our community, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to receive the care they deserve”, he noted.
He again expresses his heartfelt gratitude to all those who have supported the initiative, and “It is through our collective efforts and commitment to the wellbeing of our community that we can truly make a difference”.
Rev. Nathaniel Nyamekye, Ledzokuku Municipal Hospital Pharmacist on behave of the Municipal Healthh Directorate was grateful to the MP for his support and appealed for more for the Teshie Community to have complete health services without stress.
He salutes the MP for his commitment to supporting his people.
On behave of his colleagues ‘ health workers, Senior Physician Assistant at Teshie Community Clinic, Asamani Moses expressed his profound gratitude to the MP.
He said, the equipment will be used for the people and the administration will keep them safe and carry out regular maintenance services on them.
