The National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Yammin, is confident that the next NDC government will create more job opportunities and innovation in its 24-hour economy concept.
He explained that the concept is a commitment to expanding productivity and prosperity beyond daylight hours.
Mr. Yammin elaborated that the 24-hour economy is not just about extending working hours; it’s a transformation that is expected to revamp the tattered economy and find jobs for the unemployed in the cities and villages.
“His Excellency, the incoming president, has asked me to inform you that we can propel Ghana into an era of continuous growth and prosperity together. You only need to embrace the opportunities that a 24-hour economy presents and pave the way for a brighter future for generations to come. The Nabdam area has been loyal to the NDC and stands to benefit when this concept is operationalized in the next NDC government headed by John Dramani Mahama, our next president from 2025.”
Mr. Joseph Yammin was addressing the chiefs and people of the Nabdam Traditional Area during the Beelem Kuure Festival celebrated at Kotintabiga in the Upper East Region.
The festival is celebrated to showcase the rich culture of the people and to also drum home the need to live in unity going into the 2024 general elections, hence this year’s theme: “Unity in Development: The Role of Culture and Education”.
Mr. Yammin also commended the Member of Parliament of the area, Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane, for the projects he initiated in the constituency and asked the people to vote for him in the next parliamentary elections.
“There would be other policies aside the 24-hour economy. There would be flexibility in accessing goods and services and creates more job opportunities, especially for individuals who prefer to work during non-traditional hours. Your MP is on top of his job, and I think he would be the best person to bring you a share of the national cake in 2025,” Mr. Yammin further explained.
The National Organiser was also accompanied by some Regional and Constituency executives and party supporters of the NDC.
