Ledzokuku MP donates desks, roofing sheets to schools within constituency

The Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku, Benjamin Ayiku presented the 200 sets of both dual and mono desks to 14 schools, both Senior and Junior High Schools in his Constituency to promote teaching and learning as well as some quantity of roofing sheets.

The donations were made in fulfillment of a promise to these schools after an appeal was made to his office through the Municipal Directorate of Education.

According to him, this set of furniture is the second batch after donating 100 pieces last year as he explained that the desk will go a long way to help solve the furniture challenges about 14 schools in his Constituency are facing.

The MP, however, appealed to the Teachers and the Students to take good care of the desks and when maintained, she was willing and ever ready to provide more in order to deal with furniture challenges holistically.

The beneficiary schools were, the Teshie Presbyterian Senior which got 60 dual desks, Teshie Technical Training also received 20 while the O’Reilly was given 20. The rest are: Bethlehem Presbyterian which got 20 pieces, the Anglican ‘A” Basic, Anglican “B” Basic, the Da Res Salam Islamic, Salem Presby, Aboma Presbyterian and Hedor Roman Catholic Basic all received 10 mono desks each.

The remaining went to LEKMA 1 & 2 primary, Camp ‘2” JHS, Krobo Basic and LEKMA 7, all of which received 5 pieces of the mono desk. Meanwhile, the roofing sheets went to the Teshie Southern Cluster of Schools.

The Municipal Director of Education for Ledzokuku, Mrs. Theresa Tetteh, expressed gratitude to the MP and asked him to continue to respond to their needs when they called on him.

In her response, she promises to handle the desks with care for them to last.
