Mohammed Kudus has withdrawn from the Ghana squad for the friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda due to injury.

Mohammed Kudus was one of the first team players named in the 26-man squad released by new head coach Otto Addo a few days ago. The talented baller’s absence will be missed within the rhetoric of the national team, as his work rate has always been impeccable.

Reports outline that the young star sustained a shoulder injury in his last Premier League game against Aston Villa during the weekend. Although Kudus showed no signs of injury in that game, he played the full 90 minutes, which saw West Ham draw.

This news about Kudus and injuries draws back to the 2023 African of Nations saga, where Kudus was reported to be nursing a hamstring when the final call-up was announced, which saw him report to camp late.

The list of players withdrawing from the squad has increased to two as Kudus joins Nathaniel Adjei, who has also been hit with an injury, forcing him to withdraw from the national team.

With Ghana scheduled to meet Nigeria in a much-awaited clash on March 22, 2024, the absence of Kudus will be deeply missed.
