President Akufo-Addo has terminated the appointment of the Director-General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), Dr. John Ofori Tenkorang.
A letter signed by the Executive Secretary to the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante, said Dr. Tenkorang must cease to act as Director-General and hand over his duties to Kofi Bosompem Osafo-Maafo, son of Senior Minister at the presidency, Yaw Osafo Maafo, no later than the close of business on Monday, April 15.
The appointment was terminated with three months’ salary in lieu of notice.
Dr. Tenkorang was directed in the letter to collect any terminal benefits he may be entitled to.
