A defeated Flagbearer aspirant of the NPP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has joined the campaign trail of the party’s Presidential Hopeful currently in the Ashanti region.

Mr. Ohene Agyapong was the closest contender of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the NPP’s Presidential elections held in November last year.

Before now, there were speculations that Mr. Ohene Agyapong was peeved and would therefore refuse invitation by both the party and its Standard-bearer to join the electioneering.

But, in a twist of events, the Asin Central MP was seen side-by-side with the Flagbearer at the first event on day two of the campaign tour.

He was on the same bus with Dr. Bawumia throughout the tour.

At an interaction with traders and buyers at the new Kejetia Market, Mr. Ohene Agyapong officially declared his support for the presidential aspiration of Dr. Bawumia asking all his supporters to allow bygones of the internal elections be bygone and support the NPP as the only viable party to meet their socio-economic aspirations.

“The elections are over. I thank all who supported me. We’re all members of the NPP and we support Dr. Bawuma and the NPP, fear the NDC, they’re dangerous”, he said.

Mr. Ohene Agyapong said even though there is an economic hardship in the country, the situation is no different from what is pertaining elsewhere in the world adding that, Ghana’s situation could even be better than other Nations’ experiences.

The NPP’s Flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia assured of introducing new and progressive policies to bring down the cost of living in the country.

He assured of introducing a better import tax regime comparable to that of neighbouring Togo.

He donated GHC200, 000 to the traders.

The queen of the Kejetia Market, Nana Yaa Foriwaa(pronounced as Foowaa), asked the government to complete phase 2 of the central market project.
