Owner of the defunct GN Bank,  Dr. Kwesi Nduom has appealed to the Bank of Ghana, BoG, to consider new evidence presented and reinstate the bank’s license.

In 2018, the BoG’s efforts to consolidate the banking sector led to the revocation of licenses from some financial institutions, including GN Bank.

Speaking in a video shared on his facebook wall, Dr Kwesi Nduom implored the BoG to re-examine the evidence from the 2019 GN Savings and Loans transition report, which shows that the bank had sufficient funds.

He also urged the Central bank to maintain the assets of GN Bank in good condition, arguing that they are ready to resume operations.

He said the bank’s assets are still viable and could thrive if the license is reinstated.

  1. Why should a businessman with financial integrity like Dr. Ndoum suffer like this in Ghana? Why is it so difficult for the law courts to justify his case with the Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Ghana. Sometimes we fail to understand some of the happenings in the country.
