The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has announced that the party will implement a new campaign strategy for the upcoming December elections. Instead of hosting large rallies, the NDC will focus on door-to-door and personal engagement with voters.
The party is set to launch its campaign in Tamale on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
In an interview with Citi News, Asiedu Nketiah emphasized the importance of connecting directly with the electorate. “We aim to conduct a house-to-house, retail campaign, prioritizing direct interactions with the people,” he said. “Our event in Tamale will serve as a reminder that this year’s campaign will be different. We need to engage with people on a personal level.”
Asiedu Nketiah also noted the cost-effectiveness of this approach, stating that it is more economical for party members to visit villagers in their homes than to gather them at a central location.
