Paris 2024: Ghana’s 4x 100 team promises mega outing

Leading member of Ghana’s 4×100 men’s relay team Abdul Rasheed Saminu has promised a mega showdown on Thursday. The relay is expected to take place on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the Stade France in the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Anchored by Benjamin Azamati with support from Joseph Paul Amoah, Saminu Abdul Rasheed, Fuseini Ibrahim, and Botsio Isaac, will be representing Ghana with hopes of securing a place at the finals.

With Ghana’s hope of making a significant impact at the Games going out of the wind, Olympic Games men’s 200m semi-finalist Abdul Rasheed Saminu is setting his sight for a medal finish.

“For now the focus is on the 4×100 relay on Thursday. Me and Azamati have had a feel of the track and I know the other guys are preparing very well for relay”.

We are going to put in our all and ensure Ghana makes it to at least the top 3 Ghana is going to be in”.

Benjamin Azamati and Abdul Rasheed Saminu finished their individual races at the semi finals also of the men’s 100m.

Put in Heat 2 Lane 3, Ghana will be racing against countries such as China, Liberia, Brazil, Jamaica, Germany and host France for a spot in the finals.

The relay is Ghana’s last event in the ongoing competition and the quartet has promised to end the country’s campaign on a high note.
