Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, Global President of Groupe Nduom, has strongly asserted that the state owes his company over GHC7.1 billion, including interest. Speaking at a press briefing in Accra, Dr. Nduom emphasized the significant amount owed, stating, “According to our calculations, the state owes us more than GHC7.1 billion, including interests. They know they owe, and while they can dispute the interest, the debt remains.”

He also announced a temporary pause in his “Bring Back GN Bank” campaign to embark on a nationwide tour of the 300 branches of the defunct bank, following a previous visit to the Northern region. The tour aims to galvanize support from petitioners advocating for the restoration of GN Bank’s license, which was revoked in 2019.

Dr. Nduom plans to resume his campaign in November, after a period of strategic planning. Meanwhile, the Bank of Ghana has stood by its decision to revoke GN Bank’s license, citing serious regulatory breaches that threatened the bank’s stability.
