The Ghana Parliamentary Chamber is presently undergoing a major renovation project.
To facilitate the progress of the renovations, Parliament adjourned indefinitely at midnight on July 30, allowing the project to move forward more swiftly.
The renovation work is anticipated to take approximately three months to complete.
This comprehensive renovation aims to modernize the chamber and improve its overall functionality.
On Friday, August 23, the Speaker of Parliament conducted an inspection of the ongoing work to ensure that the project is on track and meets the necessary standards and deadlines.
During his visit, Alban Bagbin outlined some of the challenges facing the House, including issues with voting, quorum, and malfunctioning audiovisual systems.
