Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars, kicked off their first training session on Monday, October 7, 2024 at the Accra Sports Stadium. This session marked the beginning of their preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Sudan, scheduled for Thursday, October 10.
Eleven players were present at the opening session, including notable names such as Jojo Wollacott, Mohammed Kudus, and Jordan Ayew. The training session focused on building team chemistry and honing strategies that could give them an edge against their formidable opponent, Sudan.
Under the watchful eyes of the coaching staff, the Black Stars engaged in a series of drills aimed at enhancing their tactical prowess. The emphasis was on fluid ball movement and stretching. Coach’s strategic insights were evident as players worked tirelessly to perfect their formations.
While the initial session saw the participation of 11 players, the squad is expected to be bolstered by additional members before the second training session on Tuesday, October 8. The arrival of these players is eagerly awaited, as their inclusion will provide the team with a more comprehensive lineup.
