O’Reilly SHS student allegedly stabbed to death to be laid to rest on October 18

Prosecution handling the case of the incident that occurred at O’reilly Senior High School that ended in the stabbing of one student to death has forwarded the case docket to the office of the Attorney General.

This was revealed in court yesterday by the Prosecution led by Chief Inspector Paul Osei Adjei, when the case was called at the La District court. He also informed the court, that he has asked the investigator in the case to fast track the process.

The Magistrate, Adwoa Benaso Asumadu-Sakyi who presided over the case, asked the father of the deceased to follow up to ensure the docket gets to the AG’s office on time. She also asked the accused to be remanded into custody for two weeks as well as get a legal representation on the next adjourned date which is October 21.

On September 2, Godwin Mawuli, a final year student of O’reilly Senior High allegedly stabbed his colleague Edward Borketey Sackey to death over an argument of whose father is wealthier.

Meanwhile Father of the deceased, Enoch Bortei Sackey told Journalists that, the deceased will be laid to rest on October 18.
