The US Ambassador to Ghana, Virginia Palmer, says the outcome and conduct of the US elections should be a model for Ghana’s elections in December.
At an early morning breakfast meeting with members of the Diplomatic Corp, CSOs, politicians and the media to monitor the outcome of US elections, Madam Palmer said the US will continue to strengthen its relationship with Ghana even with the new administration.
At the dawn of day, what was expected to be a close contest between former President Donald Trump and current Vice President Kamala Harris was a landslide victory for Donald Trump. At the Breakfast Election Watch, some individuals present shared their thoughts. First was the Executive Director for the Institute for Democratic Governance, Emmanuel Akwettey.
Also present was the Executive Director of the Christian Health Association of Ghana, Dr. Peter Yeboah.
The US Ambassador to Ghana, Virginia Palmer assured of continuity with US relations and policies with Ghana.
Donald Trump has won the US election and will make a historic return to the White House.
