The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has decided to allow Ghana Premier League clubs to keep all the money from ticket sales at their home matches during the 2024-25 season.

This decision came after a recent meeting between the GFA and representatives from the Premier League clubs. The aim is to help clubs financially, as many rely on match-day earnings to cover their costs.

GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku met with club leaders to discuss ways to improve the league and ease the financial challenges facing the clubs. After discussions, the GFA agreed to let clubs keep all the net proceeds from ticket sales. This move was welcomed by the clubs, who see it as a positive step toward attracting more fans and managing their finances.

The GFA also promised to continue promoting the league, but asked clubs to play their part by promoting their matches and securing their ticketing processes, as this revenue now fully belongs to them.

This decision aligns with previous statements by the GFA President about introducing policies to draw more supporters to Ghana’s football competitions.
