The third edition of the annual Ghana Models Awards Juniors successfully came off at the Ghana International School in Accra last Saturday.

The Founder of the initiative, Jerry Wonder Sampson, stated that this year sought to celebrate talent but, more importantly, potential. Hence, emphasised its relevance on the children’s event calendar in Ghana. A total of 30 awards were listed for the night.

Elaborating on the fact that parents need to pay more attention to developing the potentials of their children, Jerry Wonder Sampson explained that a scheme such as the Ghana Models Awards was assisting in that. “Here, we don’t just focus on talent but, we highlight potential as part of our criteria for nominations because we believe, when the potential of a child is discovered and nurtured the right way, the child will end up contributing his best to society and globe. Simply put, your talent is what you can do. But your potential is who you can become,” he said.

There were many happy parents on the night with their wards celebrating the many award winners and enjoying some entertainment from the many dance performances. The event was sponsored by Ghandour Cosmetics, Daily Guide Network, and Ciprina Natural Fruit Juice.
