The presidential candidate of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Mr. Christian Kwabena Andrews, has pledged to provide monthly financial support to Ghanaians aged 60 and above if elected in the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.
Speaking on GTV’s presidential encounter on Friday, November 15, 2024, Mr. Andrews promised to support pensioners, including farmers, traders, and all citizens over 60, regardless of the sector they worked in.
He criticised the two major political parties, claiming they lack the commitment to address the needs of the elderly, and urged Ghanaians to vote for him to ensure this promise becomes a reality.
According to Mr. Andrews, this initiative will reduce the financial burden on retirees and improve their quality of life.
