Ghana stands to become a health hub following Agenda 111 being pursued by the government.
The initiative, which will see one hundred and eleven hospitals constructed across the country, is expected to ensure that Ghanaians get easy access to quality healthcare services regardless of their location.
Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who stated this when he took his constituency-focused campaign to Kumawu in Ashanti, said the projects are ongoing to bring relief to Ghanaians.
President Akufo-Addo launched the Agenda 111 project in 2021 to construct 101 district hospitals and six regional hospitals in the newly created regions. Dr Bawumia said these hospitals, when completed and equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment, will make the country a preferred destination for healthcare delivery in the sub-region.
Dr Bawumia appealed to the electorate to vote for him to consolidate the gains made over the years.
The Chief of Kumawu, Barima Safo Tweneboah Koduah, praised the government for the development brought to the area.
Dr Bawumia urged them to vote number 1 on December 7 for the Presidential and Parliamentary election.
