Former Table tennis champion Nana Yaw Boateng spreads Joy at ‘Our of Grace Orphanage Home’ with donations

Nana Yaw Boateng, Ghana’s celebrated former national table tennis champion and 2003 All-African Games bronze medalist, made a significant impact on the lives of children at the Our of Grace Orphanage Home. With a donation of items valued in the thousands of Ghana cedis, Boateng aims to bring joy and comfort to the children during the festive season, reaffirming his commitment to their well-being.

During a touching address at the orphanage, Boateng emphasized the importance of peace and calmness during the electoral process. He urged citizens to participate responsibly in the upcoming elections, stating, “If you cast your vote on the 7th of December, please return home and tune in to the results on television.” His message resonates with the need for unity and tranquility in a time often marked by tension and uncertainty.

Known for his exceptional achievements in table tennis, including being a three-time Swag national player of the year, Nana Yaw Boateng has consistently used his platform to advocate for peace, particularly during election years. His supporters have organized a national tournament called “AFRINTO,” under the slogan “Friends of Nana Yaw Boateng,” to promote harmony and camaraderie among the community.

“We hold a tournament every election year to foster peace awareness among the electorate.

Fortunately, this year’s tournament coincides with the birthday of the legendary Nana Yaw Boateng, so we decided to celebrate his birthday with our brothers and sisters at the ‘Our of Grace Orphanage Home’ and also use the occasion to advocate for peace in anticipation of the 2024 elections.”; Emmanuel Obiri Minta — Personal aid to Nana Yaw Boateng.

In clebration of his birthday, Boateng chose to spend the day with the children at the orphanage, further amplifying his message of peace and compassion for the vulnerable members of society.
