President Akufo-Addo says the economic is fast recovering from the difficult times went through during the Covid 19 pandemic which brought the world economy into its knees.

He observed that the first quarter economic growth rate of six point nine percent is a clear indication of economic recovering that calls for continuity to further improve upon it to reflect on standards of living.

Therefore there is no debate between Bawumia and Mahama as to who is the best choice and capable to lead Ghana into the 4th Industrial revolution where science, technology and mathematics education is the only option.

The President said former President Mahama has no economic and political records to defend or protect after being rejected by ghanaians in two previous elections and therefore has nothing again to offer Ghanaians and must be retired on December 7, 2024.

President Akufo-Addo was inaugurating the Atafua Bridge on the Kumasi-Barekese Highway as part of his thank-you tour in the Ashanti region.

The narrow nature of the Atafua on the River Owabi had previously claimed right lived with only one survival anytime it rained irrespective of how severe it might be. So the government secured funds to modernize and expand the bridge to accommodate the huge flow of water from the upstream. The project was completed in the record time of 18 months.

The Roads and Highways Minister Francis Arsenal Boakye who is also the Member of Parliament for Bantama maintained that the NPP has completed over 16 thousand kilometres of roads since assumption office in 2017 which is over and above four thousand kilometres completed by the NDC in eight years in office.

He said the borrowed money has been judiciously applied even though there is still more work to be done.

The President, Nana Akufo-Addo in his remark said every Ghanaian including himself has a stake in whoever succeeds him after January 7.

This is because Ghanaians cannot afford to lose all the achievements his government has recorded by handing over to a leader whose records are poor that led to his rejection in two previous elections.

He said the NDCs only capability in the government based on previous change in administration is to destroy all the projects and social interventions being implemented such as the free education, National Health Insurance Scheme, social protection and free maternal policy for our mothers.

Therefore the only candidate who is tested and tried is Dr Bawumia who can continue the policies of the government to the next level.

Nana Akufo-Addo expressed his deepest appreciation to the Chiefs and People of Asante for the support, cooperation and collaboration for the past eight years and prayed they will extend similar support to “Dr Bawumia by voting massively for him in the December 7 polls”.
