Election 2024: Keta MP, Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, aims to increase votes

Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, Keta Member of Parliament, on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress, is aiming to bag home about 95% out of about fifty thousand, six hundred and twenty-seven (50,627) voter population of the area to secure victory.

He promised to secure this figure at the end of the poll following what he referred to as big investment in the people in almost all the sectors of the economy for the last four years as an MP for the area.

In the last election, the MP won to book a seat in the 8th Parliament by obtaining thirty-one thousand four hundred and seventy (31, 470), representing 85.8%.

The NPP candidate in person of Dzameshie Benjamin Sena Kwame got just five thousand and thirty-seven (5,037) votes, representing 13.7% of the total vote cast, and the third person on the ticket of the Convention People’s Party in person of Ametepey Blaise Edem managed just one hundred and sixty-six (166) votes, representing about 0.5%. 

In an interview with GBC Online, the MP promised to continue this. He added that he has already started in the areas of women empowerment, skills training development for the youth, rural electrification, entrepreneurship programmes as well as investment in water and sanitation, education, and health.
