President Akufo-Addo has rallied the support of traditional leaders, the clergy and opinion leaders in the Greater Accra region to back the candidature of the flagbearer of the NPP, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, to continue with the good works done over the last eight years.

When he met with the Ga Traditional leaders and other stakeholders in separate events as part of his thank you tour, President Akufo-Addo noted that Dr Bawumia has the capability to consolidate the gains made, and any other choice will be detrimental to the country’s growth and development.

He indicated that Dr Bawumia has proven to be a problem solver, stressing that he will be a better candidate as compared to his main competitor. He therefore called on them to vote for Dr Bawumia to continue with the good works.

President Akufo-Addo has been touring all the regions across the country to express his gratitude to the people of Ghana for the confidence reposed in him and giving him the opportunity to serve the nation.

The Greater Accra region is the final one after visiting 15 regions. His message to the people during his engagements with them is to support Dr Bawumia to ascend the highest office of the land. President Akufo Addo described Dr Bawumia as a hard-working, competent, and trustworthy man who has the well-being of the country at heart and is committed to its progress and development.

He said a vote for him will translate to more development.

President Akufo-Addo intimated that Ghanaians cannot afford to go back to the era of dumsor under former President Mahama, who has nothing to offer Ghanaians.

Touching on some initiatives, such as the Free SHS, President Akufo-Addo said the policy has set the stage for Ghana to leverage opportunities of the fourth industrialisation revolution. He appealed to the leaders to give Dr Bawumia a resounding victory come December 7.

Touting some achievements of the government in the last 7 years, President Akufo-Addo said a victory for Dr Bawumia will mean all initiatives will be continued to the letter. President Akufo-Addo ended the second day of his tour with the inauguration of the refurbished Nationalism Park.
