The Ghana Police Service has launched an intense search for suspect Mujaheed Suraj, known as Mims, following a shooting incident in the Awutu Senya East Constituency in the Central Region. Suraj is wanted in connection with the shooting of an individual, who was injured in the leg during the incident.
According to police reports, the suspect fired at the victim before fleeing the scene, leaving behind his vehicle, which has since been impounded. The police have assured the public that they are working tirelessly to locate and arrest Suraj through an intelligence-led operation.
“We are doing everything possible to apprehend the suspect and will ensure he faces the full force of the law,” a police spokesperson said.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, is reported to be in stable condition after receiving medical treatment. Authorities have also called on anyone with information regarding Suraj’s whereabouts to come forward.
In the wake of the incident, the police have reassured residents that efforts are being made to enhance safety and security in the area as the investigation continues. The public is urged to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement in bringing the suspect to justice.
