The Member of Parliament for Krowor, Dr. Mrs. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey has commissioned another health facility to help reduce the burden on the two existing government health facilities in the area, which serves a chunk of the Constituents and beyond.

Pockets of health posts have also been opened within the Constituency to facilitate easy and quick access to healthcare services.

With funding from the NHIA funds and spearheaded by the Member of Parliament for Krowor, Dr. Mrs. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, the Okpoi Gɔŋnɔ Community Clinic will provide residents with antenatal and postnatal care, family planning and child welfare and vaccination.

Other services to be offered are Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Community Psychiatry and General Wellness clinics. Speaking with GBC-Obonu News after handing over the facility to the Krowor Municipal Health Directorate, Dr. Mrs. Lartey reiterated her zeal to make healthcare services accessible to the constituents.

She said due to low-income earning abilities, residents who find it difficult to access health care at private health centers will also have their needs met.

She noted that she is working assiduously for the timely completion of the second phase of the LEKMA polyclinic.

The Medical Superintendent of the LEKMA Polyclinic, Dr. William Okyere Frimpong, said the positioning of the community health facilities at vantage locations will help serve residents within the central area of Krowor. He added that the opening of the community Clinic will increase access to health care and ease congestion at the main Clinic.
