The SOS Children’s Villages, Asiakwa has organised a fundraising and awards ceremony at Asiakwa in the Abuakwa South Municipality of the Eastern Region to celebrate distinguished staff, dedicated partners, stakeholders and cherished friends of SOS who have supported the mission and vision of the organisation for the past years.

The Programmes Director of SOS Children’s Villages, Asiakwa, Josephine Afrawuah, noted that the organisation is committed to creating a better world for children who have lost parental care or are at the risk of losing it.

She reiterated that their commitment is a testament to the belief that every child in Ghana deserves love, support, and the opportunity to thrive and survive.

Madam Afrawuah therefore called for continued support from stakeholders, dedicated partners and cherished friends to enable them to continuously provide alternative care for children who have lost parental care and empower families through their Family Strengthening Programme to prevent the loss of care for their children.

The Secretary and Accountant at Net Gold Mining Company Limited at Akyem Kwarbeng, who presided over the function, Solomon Keku, commended SOS Children’s Villages, Asiakwa, for recognising their efforts as donors of the organisation and rewarding them.

He therefore called on all relevant stakeholders, philanthropists, benevolent organisations, partners, and donors of SOS Children’s Villages, Asiakwa, to continue to offer their support to the organisation to enable them to meet their goals of providing care to children in Ghana.
