Former South African President Jacob Zuma has made a bold assertion that Africa remains under the control of its former colonizers.
Speaking at a press conference in Accra, Ghana, on January 6, 2025, he emphasized that despite gaining independence, the continent is still grappling with the legacy of colonialism.
President Zuma’s remarks came ahead of the inauguration ceremony of Ghana’s President-elect, John Dramani Mahama.
He commended Ghana’s elections, stating that the President-elect is poised to bring about change.
However, Zuma’s tone turned somber as he reflected on Africa’s history, citing a century of difficulty, abuse, and perpetual oppression. He emphasized that slavery is the worst form of oppression and that Africa is still not truly free.
Zuma stressed the need for unity among black people, urging Africans to free themselves from the shackles of colonialism.
One Response
The truth should be told it is only Jacob Zuma who urges all African Countries to Unite and Africa should be independent.
Colonizers won’t get joy in seeing us Africans as one Region, them buying from us while we control our economy.
