The highly anticipated Urban Sports Festival is set to take centre stage in Accra on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Ghud Park, from 1 PM to 11 PM. This festival promises to be the biggest celebration of urban sports and culture in Ghana.

Organized by DUNK, a Ghanaian NGO dedicated to empowering communities through sports and education and proudly supported by the French Embassy in Ghana, whose contributions have been instrumental in bringing this event to life.

The Urban Sports Festival seeks to propel talented youth from the streets of Ghana onto the global stage. The festival will feature high-energy competitions in 3×3 basketball, breaking, and skateboarding, showcasing the skills of Ghana’s finest athletes.

Co-founder of Dunk Grassroots, Mr. Mohammed, shared insights into the significance of urban sports. “Urban sports like basketball, skateboarding, and breaking are more than just activities; they’re expressions of identity, resilience, and creativity,” he stated.

In addition to the competitions, the festival will feature live performances by celebrated Ghanaian artists, enriching the experience with vibrant cultural showcases. Interactive workshops and fun activities will engage audiences of all ages, ensuring that everyone can participate in the festivities.

As the countdown to the festival begins, excitement builds for a day that promises to celebrate talent, culture, and community in a truly unforgettable way.
