A violent clash has left a 43-year-old Mrs. Naomi Foligah hospitalized and houses burnt in Nkwanta South municipality of the Oti Region.
The incident which occured on Wednesday night at Tuobodon,a sub community in the Nkwanta South has sent shockwaves through the community and raised concerns about escalating tensions in the Municipality.
Reports indicate that, two houses were set ablaze during the clash.
According to Mrs Naomi, she was protecting her children when the bullets hit her below the breast and was rushed to St. Joseph Catholic hospital where she is currently receiving treatment.
Security personnel, including the Ghana Police Service,The Ghana Armed Forces and the Ghana Fire Service struggled to contain the flames which has already destroyed the structures.
The Nkwanta Divisional police Command has since launched an investigation into the matter and urged residents to remain calm and avoid actions that could escalate the situation.
