Ghana’s Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has called on the staff of the Ministry of Finance to join hands in rebuilding the country’s economy.
He made this appeal during his first meeting with the Ministry’s top management on Thursday, January 23, 2025, after being approved by Parliament and sworn in by President John Dramani Mahama.
Dr. Ato Forson, accompanied by former Deputy Finance Minister Fifi Kwetey, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve Ghana again, describing it as a privilege.
“We are here to work together to improve the lives of Ghanaians, and we will always consider their needs in our decisions,” he said.
The Minister outlined his priorities, which include creating jobs, managing the country’s finances prudently, stabilizing the exchange rate, and reducing inflation. These, he emphasized, are key steps in addressing Ghana’s economic challenges.
Dr. Ato Forson’s commitment signals a focused approach to restoring the nation’s economic stability, with a call for collective effort from the Ministry’s staff to achieve these goals.
