The Minister-designate for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, says that Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) will continue its work.

Speaking before Parliament’s Appointments Committee on Friday, January 31, Mr. Ablakwa, who leads ORAL, confirmed that the team will soon submit its report to the President and the Attorney-General.

“As for ORAL, it has come to stay… We will be handing over our report soon to His Excellency the President with his Attorney-General,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Attorney-General Dr. Dominic Ayine has announced plans to meet ORAL members to review their findings. He said he would take over the gathered information for further action.

“The ORAL committee and I will be meeting early next week, most likely on Monday, and I will be briefed on what they have gathered so far. Of course, I will take over the information they have collected,” Dr. Ayine said.

ORAL was set up by President John Dramani Mahama to recover stolen state assets. This was one of Mr. Mahama’s key promises before the 2024 elections.
