Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has announced the appointment of Hon. Adam Mutawakilu as its Acting Managing Director, following his selection by President John Dramani Mahama. His appointment is subject to approval by the Board and the Public Services Commission.
Hon. Mutawakilu, a former MP for Damongo and Ranking Member of the Mines and Energy Committee brings experience in governance, finance, and policy-making. He holds multiple degrees, including an MSc in Development Finance and Energy Economics.
During his first address to staff, Hon. Mutawakilu expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead GWL and pledged to collaborate with stakeholders to enhance water supply services across the country. Acknowledging the crucial role of GWL in ensuring continuous access to potable water, he emphasized his commitment to reaching underserved and unserved communities.
