The dedicated supporter and Communications Member of the Supporters’ Group was fatally stabbed by unknown assailants during the team’s Match-day 19 fixture at the Nana Kronmansah Park in Twumasikrom.

This shocking incident has sent ripples of grief and outrage throughout the football community.

In a heartfelt statement issued on February 4, 2025, the club expressed its profound sorrow over the loss of Nana Pooley and confirmed that all first-team activities have been temporarily suspended.

The club emphasized that they would not resume any football-related engagements until justice is served for the heinous crime committed against their loyal supporter.

In light of the incident, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has taken immediate action by suspending all Match-day 20 games. The GFA aims to demonstrate its commitment to justice and accountability in the wake of this tragedy. Furthermore, the Nana Kronmansah Park where the incident occurred has been indefinitely banned from hosting any football matches, signaling a zero-tolerance stance against violence in the sport.

The disciplinary measures have extended beyond the venue, with four Asante Kotoko players and six players from Nsoatreman FC facing charges from the GFA’s Disciplinary Committee.
