The Volta regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has announced that the winning team for the maiden “Regional Minister’s Cup” will receive a trophy, medals, and a cash prize. In addition, all eight participating teams will receive jerseys.
The tournament aims to promote athletes, sports and infrastructural development in the region.
Hon. James Gunu is confident that the tournament will become an annual flagship event in the region, given its high anticipation.
The Region is gearing up for the maiden Regional Minister’s Cup, scheduled to take place on February 14, 2025.
The Volta Regional Football Association chairman, Mr. Daniel Agbogah, has commended the Regional Minister for the initiative and assured him of the FA’s support to ensure the tournament’s success.
All games will be played at the Youth Resource Center in Adaklu.
The participating teams were drawn from the 18 districts of the Volta Region, forming eight teams divided into two groups: A and B.
The winners of each group will qualify to play in the final.
