The Ghana Police Service has initiated a manhunt for a group of individuals who stormed the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council, causing a disruption during the Council of State Regional Elections in Kumasi.
The group reportedly attacked electoral officers and destroyed ballot papers during the counting of the ballots. Scores of people, including journalists, have been injured by the unknown thugs who invaded the polling station.
Authorities have confirmed that investigations are underway, with law enforcement officials currently reviewing available footage to identify the perpetrators.
The police have assured the public that all necessary measures are being taken to apprehend those responsible and bring them to justice.
