A five-month-old baby girl has been killed in a brutal attack in Bawku. Armed men took the baby from her mother and smashed her to the ground, leading to her tragic death.
Reports say the baby’s mother had gone out to trade when the attackers followed her. They beat her severely and took the baby from her before committing the terrible act.
This killing adds to the rising violence in Bawku and along the Bolgatanga-Tamale highway. Since October 2024, 55 people have died.
Security forces are working to stop the attacks and protect travelers, but armed groups continue to strike, causing fear among residents and commuters.
