The Executive Committee (EC) officers and members of the Greater Accra East Region of Assemblies of God, Ghana, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, and MP for Krowor, Hon. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, PhD, in Accra.

The Greater Accra East Regional Superintendent of the Church, Rev. Andrews Nelson Awintia, who led the delegation on behalf of the General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam, congratulated the Minister on her appointment by the President as a Cabinet Minister and for being the first female Assemblies of God member to occupy this high position.

The Executive Committee shared with the Minister the “SEND AGENDA” initiated by the Greater Accra East Region to enhance its spiritual growth and expansion. They also briefed her on the TRANSFORMATION AGENDA being championed at the national level by the General Superintendent.

Rev. Awintia assured Hon. Naa Momo Lartey of the Region’s unflinching support at all times. Fervent prayers were offered for divine wisdom, guidance, protection, and security for the Minister in the discharge of her duties.

She thanked the Regional Superintendent and the EC for the visit, support, and prayers. Hon. Naa Momo Lartey pledged her Ministry’s collaboration with Assemblies of God to accelerate the country’s development.

The Minister is a staunch member of Assemblies of God, Ghana. As a young girl, she was an active member of Missionettes, the teenage wing of the church. Hon. Naa Momo Lartey progressed to another group within the church, the Young Singles (YS).

As she continued to grow in Christ and in the church, Hon. Naa Momo Lartey became a Sunday Teacher, Women’s Ministry President, District Women’s Ministry Secretary, and a sponsor for Missionettes.

She is also a founding member of several Assemblies of God churches in the Region. She fellowships at House of Love, AG, in the Nungua District.
